Hamburger SV midfielder David Jarolím has picked his team for Matchday 4 of the UEFA Europa League Fantasy Football game. Read his comments and pick your players.
I'm pleased to report Hamburger SV won at Celtic Park on Matchday 3. The 1-0 win means we are level on points with Hapoel Tel-Aviv FC at the top of Group C. I wasn't so happy with David's Goliaths' low points tally. But I have to say I was a bit unlucky as well. Who could have predicted Galatasaray AŞ coach Frank Rijkaard would leave Milan Baroš on the bench?
Home advantage
We're into the second half of the Europa League group stage and HSV now face Celtic FC at home. Three points from Thursday's game would put us in a very good position because we play two of our last three games at home.
In goal
There's no need to change my goalkeeper – Andriy Pyatov of FC Shakhtar Donetsk contributed seven points last matchday. Only Roman Hubník [AC Sparta Praha] did better, playing in my defence. Shakhtar have confirmed themselves as contenders having won all three of their group games. Even though they're away from home at Toulouse FC, I think they'll be able to get a result.
Useful Hubník
I am sure not many fans knew Roman Hubník before the start of this Fantasy League, but after three matchdays he shares the top spot in the defender rankings with Roberto Carlos [Fenerbahçe SK]. If any of you took my advice and picked him, I don't think you'll have any regrets. He is not only a good defender but can score goals too.
Elano in
I wasn't happy my midfield picked up so few points two weeks ago. That's why I've decided to make a change. Celtic might lose their chances of qualifying if we beat them, which might mean they are not so motivated. I'm going to replace Aiden McGeady with Galatasaray's Elano, who is the top-ranking midfielder. He has experience in the English Premier League and has already made an impact at Galatasaray. Mesut Özil showed his quality in the last game, plus Werder Bremen have two home games to play now. I'm keeping faith in my team-mate Piotr Trochowski and bringing Arda Turan [Galatasaray] back into the first eleven.
Liedson for Baroš
Baroš has also picked up an injury against Fenerbahçe, so he is not available for the next few weeks. It's a shame because he was very useful for my team and I've lost my captain. When I was looking for a replacement, I was impressed by how many fantasy managers have Sporting Clube de Portugal's Liedson in their teams. He deserves recognition for the goals he's scored and he's available at a good price. Plus Sporting have two home games now so he could be well worth bringing in. Valencia CF's Juan Mata will be his partner up front. Surprisingly, they dropped points at home against SK Slavia Praha and will have to play for a win now in Prague.
